Intended Use

4.5/5.0 MM LCP Distal Femur Plates are intended for internal fixation and stabilization of osteotomies, nonunions, malunions and fractures of distal femur, including supracondylar, intra-articular and extra-articular condylar, as well as fractures in normal or osteopenic bone.

Features and Benefits

4.5/5.0 MM LCP Distal Femur Plates are part of the Large Fragment LCP System. They are designed to provide the surgeon maximum flexibility with the use of fixed-angle locking and non-locking screw options. The result is fracture fixation based on each individual patient’s fracture type, bone quality and anatomy.

The plates are available in stainless steel and titanium, with 5, 7, 9, 11, and 13 holes for left and right femurs.

Preshaped Plate

Anatomically contoured plates are precontoured to create a fit that requires little or no additional bending and facilitates better soft tissue coverage.

Rounded and tapered plate tip permits a minimally invasive surgical technique.

K-Wire Holes

Allows primary or temporary plating for fracture fixation.

Locking Holes in Plate Head

Multiple threaded locking holes in the plate head allows placement of Locking Head Screw 5.0 mm and Cortex Screw 4.5 mm to capture fragments. The central locking screw hole provides initial reduction of the plate to the condyles.

Oblong combi-hole

Combi holes accommodate Locking Head Screw 5.0 mm or Cortex Screw 4.5 mm, or a combination of both, providing comprehensive selections for flexible intraoperative technique.

Anatomically Contoured

Thick-to-thin plate profiles make the plates autocontourable.

The anatomical shape of the head of the plate matches the shape of the distal femur.
