Intended Use

Proximal Humerus Plating System is intended for temporary fixation of fractures and fracture dislocations, fusions, osteotomies, and non-unions of the proximal humerus.

Features and Benefits

Proximal Humerus Plate System is an anatomically designed fixed-angle locking plate and screw system designed for the treatment of proximal humeral fractures. The anatomic shape, fixed screw trajectory, and high-surface quality of the low profile plates take into account the current demands of surgeons to allow for appropriate fixations, fatigue strength, and minimal soft tissue damage.

A comprehensive offering of proximal humerus plates are available in short and long, as well as multiple shaft lengths. A variety of screw fixation options allows for customization according to the surgeons’ needs and the complexity of the fracture.

All implants are available in stainless steel and titanium.

Combi-hole

Allows fixation with locking screws in the threaded section for angular stability or cancellous screws or cortex screws in the dynamic compression unit (DCU) section for compression.

Designed to Sit Slightly Anterior

Shaft sits slightly anterior to reduce deltoid impingement

Notched Suture Holes

Ten suture holes around the perimeter of the proximal end with six suture holes undercutted to aid in reduction and ligament reattachment.

Notches on the underside of the shaft aids in preventing blood supply limitation

K-Wire Holes

Two K-Wire Holes enable preliminary plate fixation. Anchor point for soft tissue reattachment.

Anatomical Fit

Anatomically contoured plate designed for left and right humerus. This facilitates better tissue coverage and requires little or no bending.

Designed to Sit More Distally

Plate head sits distal to the rotator cuff to reduce impingement.

Locked Construct

Locked construct in humeral head where there is flexibility in screw placement for different constructs and multiple points of fixation to support the humeral head.
